It was a busy weekend for “Harry Potter” and Young Adult book lovers at the UK’s Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC), hosted at London’s Film and Comic Con. MuggleNet was there all weekend, attending panels and workshops and hosting a “Harry Potter” party on Sunday. Catch up with the highlights.
We were excited when Waterstone’s Piccadilly revealed details about its midnight party for the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II” script release this July. Waterstone’s Piccadilly has hosted some fantastic “Harry Potter” events previously, including Harry Potter Book Night earlier this year, so we know that the midnight party will not disappoint.
We’re so happy to be returning to YALC for another Potter Party this year! After the success of last year’s fun-filled hour, we just couldn’t stop ourselves from planning an entire day of “Potter” games, activities, and general wizarding goodness for you all to enjoy. After all, it is Harry’s birthday.

A few weeks ago we were excited to announce that MuggleNet was hosting a very special “Potter” party at the Young Adult Literature Conference (YALC), which takes place this July as part of the London Film and Comic Con.
While we’re gearing up in anticipation of the party and getting our House colors ready, here are our top ten ideas for hosting the perfect “Potter” party.
Earlier today we were delighted to announce on Twitter that MuggleNet will be teaming up with the UK charity, Booktrust, to bring a Harry Potter Party to YALC (the Young Adult Literature Convention) at London Film and Comic Con. Join us on July 17th at 6.30pm to join the magical fun and games.
