Is the “Harry Potter” RPG Coming Next Year?
There is no shortage of Harry Potter video games available, but the latest addition – an open-world role-playing game (or RPG) – might be coming as soon as next year! Previously, it was believed that the game would be titled Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. That game, which was made available for preregistration in China last year, was created for iOS and Android and includes card-based and RPG elements.
Now, we have some more information about the RPG game, as reported by ARY News. While we won’t know anything for certain until there is confirmation from an official source, ARY News writes that “the game is reportedly due for release late in 2021 for Sony’s new PlayStation 5 console, which will be released in late 2020, and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X consoles.”
Unless Warner Bros. is planning to release two very different games with the same title, it is safe to assume that the new RPG will not be called Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. Leaked footage of the untitled game, which is reportedly being developed by the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment-owned Avalanche Software, shows realistic graphics and even a number of magical creatures.
As we wait for more information about the new game, what do you hope to see included in it?
