Universal Studios Hollywood to Host Taste of Universal Event
Safety measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic have kept Universal Studios Hollywood closed for nearly a year, but a new event beginning Friday, March 12, will welcome guests back to the theme park for some special outdoor dining and shopping.
Called Taste of Universal, the event will allow guests to access certain areas of the theme park – including Hogsmeade Village at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Friday to Sunday from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 7:00 p.m. At present, only CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood is open to guests, including offerings such as butterbeer that are normally found inside the theme park. Taste of Universal, however, will offer guests “a wide selection of nearly 70 choice culinary options, of which 30 are new to the event.” Vegetarian and vegan options will be offered.
Adults can choose five options, and kids can choose three, with additional food offerings available for purchase. Tickets start at $44 plus tax for adults and $25 plus tax for kids ages 3[–]9 years. Discounted admission tickets will be available for Universal Annual and Season Pass members.
Universal Studios Hollywood will be introducing new health and safety measures for Taste of Universal, and these will include limits on the park’s capacity. Rides, shows, and attractions will not be available during the event, but access to the park is sure to be a bright spot for Universal fans. (In other positive news out of Universal Parks & Resorts, construction on Universal’s Epic Universe has resumed in Orlando, Florida.)
Tickets to Taste of Universal are available now.
