Full Cast of “Cursed Child” London Announced
The London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming back to the West End. In the wake of months of shutdowns and delays brought on by COVID-19, Cursed Child fans are ready to get back into theaters. London’s production team has announced previously that the play will make its return on October 14.
Production organizers issued a press release announcing that the full cast of West End’s Cursed Child has been selected. September 1 seemed like a good choice to make the announcement since the day marks the start of the Hogwarts term.
The previously announced cast includes Jamie Ballard (Harry Potter), Susie Trayling (Ginny Potter), and Dominic Short (Albus Potter). They will be joined by Thomas Aldrige (Ron Weasley), Michelle Gayle (Hermione Granger), Phoenix Edwards (Rose Granger-Weasley), James Howard (Draco Malfoy), and Luke Sumner (Scorpius Malfoy). These esteemed actors create a “43-strong company playing a variety of characters.”
Despite multiple North American locations shortening their productions to one part instead of two, London’s Cursed Child will remain the traditional two-part play. Tickets will be on sale to Harry Potter Fan Club members in the United Kingdom starting on September 1. The general public will have access to purchase tickets from September 2 until October 23, 2022. Prices are reportedly staying the same, at £15 per part.
Regular dates have also been set, so you’ll want to get your tickets and mark your calendars sooner rather than later. Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays will show Part One at 2 p.m. and Part Two at 7 p.m. Sunday will show Part One at 1 p.m. and Part Two at 6 p.m.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will continue to run at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End. For all relevant information about tickets, times, and dates, check out the production website.
