Bonnie Wright Launches Newsletter to Provide Weekly Climate Content

Bonnie Wright might be best known for her portrayal of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, but she’s worn many hats since. Not only does she work behind the scenes as a director for music videos and short films, but she’s also doing her part in trying to protect the environment and educating people on how they can do their part to ensure our planet is a safe home for future generations. Now, she’s launched her very own newsletter, and a YouTube channel is set to follow soon after.

During quarantine, Wright started writing her first book, revealing that it is “basically a kind of lifestyle-home book about sustainability and what we can be doing at home, as we will spend so much time there.” We’re bound to hear more about it pretty soon via her brand-new newsletter, of which the first went out this week. Wright kept it short and sweet, teasing the book, which is set to be released in the spring of 2022. But what’s most exciting is that she seems to have created the newsletter primarily to provide people with weekly climate content – and from the looks of it, it’s going to be incredibly valuable. As Wright put it, people can expect anything “from reflective essays to practical ideas and recipes to implement positive actions in your day[-]to[-]day life.”

Wright further explained that she created this platform to provide people with quality over quantity that will promote “knowledge over quick information.” She also mentioned guest writers, and we can’t wait to see who they will be. Perhaps Evanna Lynch will be one of them – it’s no secret that she is just as passionate about the planet and its inhabitants’ wellbeing as Wright, and we’d love to hear even more from her on this platform.

Wright recently took to Instagram to let her followers know that her book’s title will be revealed in a month and that those who sign up for the newsletter will be the first to know it all. If you’re as excited about her book as we are and passionate about the environment, you can sign up for her newsletter here.

Growing up, I was a massive fan of Harry Potter and my love for the stories grew as I got older. It’s no surprise then that I love writing about all things Potter related. When I’m not writing about all the magic, you’ll find me reading (probably something Harry Potter related), listening to music, or writing some songs.
