Rupert Grint Cast in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Knock at the Cabin”

According to multiple sources, including Deadline and, Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint has been cast in Knock at the Cabin, an upcoming thriller film that will be directed, produced, and written by M. Night Shyamalan.

Although plot details for the film have not been made public (and are described by Deadline as “being kept under lock & key”), this is not Rupert’s first time working with Shyamalan. Shyamalan is also the showrunner for and one of the executive producers of Servant, an Apple TV+ series in which Rupert stars. Rupert’s casting in Knock at the Cabin was announced alongside that of BAFTA-nominated actress Nikki Amuka-Bird (Jupiter Ascending, Old). Actor and former professional wrestler Dave Bautista’s casting in the film was previously announced.

According to Deadline, viewers can expect to see Knock at the Cabin in under a year from now. The article notes, Knock at the Cabin will be released by Universal Pictures on February 3, 2023.”

In the meantime, Rupert will appear in director Guillermo del Toro’s new Netflix horror anthology series, Cabinet of Curiosities. He was previously spotted in Toronto while filming for that project.
