Since Emma Watson launched HeForShe last September, the program has become a global movement fighting for gender equality. Now, as announced on Watson’s Facebook page, HeForShe has a brand new website. The announcement is accompanied by a brief interview with Emma, which highlights that HeForShe is not an awareness campaign, but is mission-focused in its goal of achieving gender equality.

Alan Rickman Passes Away at the Age of 69

It is with great sadness that we must report that Alan Rickman has passed away at the age of 69. The “Guardian” reports that he had been suffering from cancer and passed away in London today.

Noma Dumezweni Will Make Hermione Her Own

The Internet has been abuzz since last month when the actors cast as Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the stage play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” were announced, and most of the attention has focused on the fact that the actress cast as Hermione, Noma Dumezweni, is black. Dumezweni spoke to the “Standard” recently in response to her critics, saying that though she had previously experienced some “unconscious” prejudice while auditioning for roles, never before had anyone outwardly questioned her ability to play a character because of the color of her skin.
