To celebrate the release, British “Harry Potter” publisher Bloomsbury has released a special box set of the first two books, in an exclusive slipcase.

October 4 marked the release of the illustrated edition of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”! You can now pick up either the Standard Edition or the Deluxe Edition at most retailers. Check Out the Cover of the New Hogwarts Library!
Back in June, it was announced that Bloomsbury and Scholastic would be releasing a new edition of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” in 2017, complete with a new introduction from J.K. Rowling, a new cover by Jonny Duddle, and interior black and white illustrations by Tomislav Tomić, a Croatian children’s book illustrator. While we still don’t have the cover of that quite yet, we do have something pretty close – the cover of the new Hogwarts Library!
Illustrator Jim Kay on Bringing Magic to Life in “Chamber of Secrets”
The “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” illustrated edition was finally released today, October 4, by Bloomsbury in the UK and Scholastic in the US. After devouring the gorgeous illustrations in the first book in the series a year ago, we’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of the second book, with illustrations once again by Jim Kay.
