Some lucky fans in the U.K. will get to see “Quartet” early – find out how right here!

We previously reported that Harry Potter stars Dame Maggie Smith, who portrayed Professor McGonagall, and Sir Michael Gambon, who portrayed Albus Dumbledore, would be appearing in the new film Quartet. Though the film, which is a story about events at a home for retired opera singers, won’t be released until January, some lucky fans in the U.K. have an opportunity to see an early screening!

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” converted into Braille

Great news for blind or visually impaired Potter fans! The fifth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been formatted into Braille. The fifth book is the longest of the seven, and it might seem like a brick at 765 pages for the UK Edition, but printed in Braille, Order of the Phoenix is multiple volumes that reach two feet in height when stacked on top of each other.

Dame Maggie Smith nominated at “Screen Actors Guild Awards”

The talented Potter star Dame Maggie Smith will be up for a few awards at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards including Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress in a Drama Series. Smith will be recognized with nominations for her roles in both Downton Abbey and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. As both productions are also nominated for Best Ensemble Cast, she could pick up those awards as well.
