Publishers Launch #UnveilVoldemort Campaign

We’re just three weeks away from the release of the highly anticipated illustrated edition of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, and while it’s hard to wait that long to see the rest of Jim Kay’s gorgeous illustrations, our friends at Scholastic are helping us out by revealing another character today – none other than the Dark Lord himself!

ICYMI: The “T” in “Voldemort” Is Silent, Says JKR

In what was more of a reminder to fans than completely new information, “Harry Potter” series author J.K. Rowling took to Twitter last night to address a common pronunciation error when dealing with the characters. It would seem that Lord Voldemort, the series’ primary villain, should be pronounced with a silent ‘T.’ The issue was raised most recently by College of Charleston English major Michael Lucero.

Hufflepuff Wins the Final Pottermore House Cup – and J.K. Rowling Responds!

It’s been less than a month since we learned that the House Cup awarded on September 9 would be Pottermore’s last and only a few days since it was revealed that Pottermore as we know it is coming to an end – and the site is set to reveal a whole new chapter for fans. While those revelations make us feel a lot of things – a bit sad, excited, curious – we certainly have something worth celebrating today: Hufflepuff has won the final House Cup!

Any day that a “Potter” fan can check Twitter and find a slew of tweets from J.K. Rowling is a good day. Her recent trend of answering fan questions, dispelling rumors, and offering new information has been a delightful gift to all of her followers. But some days, she tweets out greater offerings, and today was one of those days!
