Nearly Headless Nick actor and British comedian John Cleese will be honored with the Rose d’Or Award for Life Achievement next month. Cleese will be receiving this due to his longstanding and outstanding contribution to the entertainment world.

What a night it was indeed for two members of the Harry Potter family on Sunday at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards. The Mirror reported that Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) award was presented by none other than John Hurt (Mr. Ollivander). After the global phenomenon of the “Harry Potter” series, Daniel Radcliffe has recently starred in a few considerably smaller, though no less exciting, features. Moviefone reports that his next role will be of a similar size; he is set to star in the biopic “Brooklyn Bridge.”
“Kill Your Darlings,” which stars Daniel Radcliffe, has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the Outstanding Film – Wide Release category. The film is up against other big features of the last year: “Dallas Buyers Club,” “The Mortal Instruments,” “Philomena,” and “Blue is the Warmest Colour.”
